Easter records for Three of the Best

Breednet - Thursday April 11
The 2019 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale produced some stunning results, noteworthy among them new record prices for three stallions which have had more than 2,500 yearlings offered between them.

Snitzel has been a sale ring superstar for several years now but the $2.8million sale-topping colt by Snitzel out of Ichihara created a new high for his sire, and by some margin - $500,000.

Snitzel has so far had 1093 yearlings offered at sale in Australia and New Zealand, 27 making a million dollars or more, with his highest prior to this year's Easter being $2.3million for the half-brother to Winx, out of Vegas Showgirl, subsequently named Boulder City and standing at Riverbank Stud in Victoria.
