Whittington Moves to Five Winners

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 28
Thanks to a metropolitan quinella on Wednesday at Toowoomba, Grandview Stud's promising young sire Whittington brought up his fifth individual winner from only twelve starters.

WhittingtonThe Michael Nolan trained colt Patches jumped well settling in second position and hit the lead in the straight only to be challenged by Adamdeeant trained by Matt Kropp. Both horses fought on well and look to be nice chances in the upcoming Capricornia Two year old classic race coming up in Rockhampton in April.

By world renowned shuttle sire Tale of the Cat (USA), Whittington a brilliant two year-old and won the Listed ATC Breeders Plate for champion trainer Gai Waterhouse. That speed and precocity has translated to his progeny with Whittington off to a great start with 41% winners to runners so far.

Whittington covered his biggest book of 107 mares to date at Grandview Stud last year so the future is looking bright.
