Brilliant Moonee Valley Winner for Rubick

Talented filly Andrassy Avenue was super impressive when racing clear for a dominant victory at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Andrassy Avenue as a yearlingPrepared from the powerful stable of the Hayes Dabernig training partnership, Andrassy Avenue was seventh on debut in the Group III MRC Blue Diamond Preview when she bounded at the start, but made amends in this easier assignment.

She travelled smoothly for Luke Nolen off the pace and powered to the line out wide to round up her rivals and sprint away to win the 1000 metre dash by two and a half lengths over Verrazano filly Mockery .

Passed in shy of her $100,00 reserve at the Magic Millions by Newhaven Park, Andrassy Avenue is the first winner and final foal of Budapest, an unraced half-sister to Group I winner Tapildo and Group II winner Plagiarize and the dam of Group I winner Japonisme.

Andrassy Avenue is the third winner, all of them metropolitan winners, for promising young sire Rubick , who is also the sire of stakes horses Alburq, Krameric and Biscara.
