Aquis Launch OTT Racehorse Young Trainer Program Competition

A once in a lifetime opportunity for a young horse person with animal welfare at heart to run their very own profitable OTT program.

We are looking for the best retraining program for Aquis OTT Racehorses that promotes re-education and provides a new purpose.

As part of the program the re-trainer must take up to five horses from Aquis Farm to be retrained at their own facility or property with a view they are rehomed within six months.

Aquis will sponsor the cost, per horse, for the retraining as per the costs outlined in the program. The re-trainer determines the rehoming cost for the horse and retains 100% of the profits from the rehoming.

The competition winner could also win the $5,000 Aquis Champions Tour OTT Re-Trainer Bonus in 2020 at the Aquis Champions Tour if the re-trained horse wins a class under its new owner.

Entry closes at 5:00pm Friday 26 April 2019.

T&C's of the competition:

1. The retraining program can be located anywhere in Australia but must be undertaken by the entrant and at that entrant's own property.

2. The entrant must be 25 years old or younger at the time of entry.

3. The entrant must also be an entrant and competing in the Aquis Champions Tour 2019.

4. The OTT program proposed must stipulate training concepts in the following areas:

·Retraining timeframe

·Diet requirements

·Daily schooling & education

·Down time/spelling requirement

·Housing / location of training

·Transportation

·Jump club/training days preparation

·Vet maintenance

·Cost of retraining within the timeframe

5. Aquis will sponsor the cost, as outlined in the proposed program, of re-training the Aquis OTT racehorse. This cost must be outlined as a per horse cost and the sponsorship will only begin when the horse begins its program as per the proposed program.

6. The re-trainer determines the rehoming cost for the horse to be rehomed and retains 100% of the profits from the rehoming.

7. The winning program will be selected based on merit by the CEO of Aquis Farm Shane McGrath in conjunction with the Fung Family

8. The Aquis Champions Tour OTT Re-trainer Bonus. If the horse they rehome comes back to compete in the Aquis Champions Tour in 2020, under its new owner (must be a new registered owner) and wins a class the re-trainerwin $5,000 Re-trainer Bonus as the re-trainer.

9. Entry closes at 5:00pm Friday 26 April 2019. The winner will be announced at the Cocktail Party during the Aquis Champions Tour on Thursday 2 May 2019.

10. Aquis does not take responsibility for the horse once the re-trainer takes that horse off the Aquis Farm property. All liability for that said horse moves to the new owner and/or the re-trainer. The re-trainer/new owner will be asked to sign a waiver transferring the liability and ownership.
