Fiesta's dam joins The Chairman's revolution

Breednet - Friday February 8
Now Now – the dam of dual Group winner and Group 1 placegetter Fiesta – has been added to what is shaping as a stellar line-up of breeding stock at The Chairman's Sale.

FiestaThe daughter of Danehill Dancer will be offered by Mike and Debbie O'Donnell's Fairhill Farm, in-foal to leading young sire Pierro.

The 2YO-winning, city-performed Now Now is the dam of three winners, the best of whom is the aforementioned Star Thoroughbreds-owned Fiesta, one of the best fillies of her generation.

Fiesta (pictured), a daughter of I Am Invincible, won the Group 3 Widden Stakes as a 2YO before returning as a 3YO to claim the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes last spring.

She then went within a whisker of claiming Group 1 honours when beaten a nose in the Flight Stakes at Randwick in late September.

Those efforts saw her crowned the winner of the prestigious Darley Princess Series.

Fiesta is also a $3.70 equal favourite for tomorrow's $1m Inglis Sprint at Warwick Farm and is being targeted at Group 1 objectives in the autumn.

"Fiesta has had 11 starts, 10 have been in Stakes races and she's finished in the top three nine times – she is a model of consistency,'' Mike O'Donnell said.

"Now Now throws good looking stock each and every year.

"Anyone who saw Fiesta at the Classic Sale as a yearling will be able to testify to that – she was an absolute star and typical of what the mare gets.

"Her produce record is excellent and she's in foal on a good cover to a very appealing young stallion.''

Inglis' NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell said Now Now represents another exciting addition to what is going to be a quality selection of breeding stock.

"She's a proper mare and is going to make a hell of a lot of appeal to plenty of breeders given she's a tax mare,'' Russell said.

"I inspected her Capitalist colt at Fairhill a few weeks ago and he's a ripper, potentially one of the stars of our weanling sale.

"We are very appreciative of the opportunity to sell her for Mike and Debbie and I have no doubt that she'll be a very popular mare, particularly for those people looking for the right mare for I Am Invincible – she's already proven she can produce the real deal when mated to him.''

Now Now joins the likes of star mares Norzita and Snitty Kitty as early leading entries for The Chairman's Sale, which will be held at Riverside Stables on the evening of Friday May 3.
