Quality Classic Six for Edinburgh Park

Tara Madgwick - Monday February 4
From sale-toppers to stakes-winners, Edinburgh Park has produced them all and their draft for the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale is a quality half dozen guaranteed to please.

Impressive Moonee Valley 2YO winner Magnicity is another Edinburgh Park graduateIan Smith's boutique breeding operation on the mid north coast of New South Wales has established a reputation for excellence driven by ongoing results on the track at the highest level.

A farm that has produced a world champion in Silent Witness, not to mention the likes of Bull Point, Sister Madly, Dances on Waves, Eximius, Amovatio and Golden Spin, Edinburgh Park is a brand to be respected.

New stars are emerging all the time from Edinburgh Park and include this season's promising three year-olds Zizzis and Wonderbabe, who runs in the Inglis 3YO Sprint on Saturday.

Current season two year-olds include last week's Moonee Valley two year-old winner Magnicity and talented Rubick two year-old Alburq, who has placed at each of his three starts to date including the Listed MRC Blue Diamond Preview. Also Lady Naturaliste, who runs in the $2million Inglis Millennium and has two seconds and a fourth from just three starts for the Matt Cumani stable.

Also take in Australia' leading first season sire Better Than Ready who was bred and sold by Edinburgh park as a weanling and a real rising star in the Victorian ranks in lightly raced four year-old Tamasa.

By So You Think, Tamasa has five wins and two seconds from just eight starts and has been brought along slowly, but with untapped ability could easily emerge as a serious player in 2019.

Edinburgh Park will offer six yearlings at Inglis Classic as follows and see them parading at Barn D Stables 38 – 43.
