Show County Quality analysis

Clinton Payne - Friday August 18

The Racenet Speedmaps and form analysts have combined to give punters a leg-up in the $150,000 Group III Show County Quality (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Racenet's Speedmaps spokesman Greg Polson said the race should be run at a genuine gallop with the three horses drawn widest being most effective when ridden on or near the speed.

"Deploy, Burning Passion and Boss Lane are all drawn out so I'm expecting them to roll along early to cross the field and race prominently," Polson said.

"I'd expect Deploy to be the leader.

"Daysee Doom and Alluvion land slightly better than midfield after those drawn out cross then while Invader, Omei Sword and Spectroscope settle back in the field.

"The backmarkers should get their chance to get home."

Corporate bookie Ladbrokes are offering $2.30 for the favourite Omei Sword, $5.50 Spectroscope, $7 Daysee Doom, $7.50 Deploy and Invader, $11 Burning Passion, $18 That's A Good Idea, $19 Boss Lane with the other runners at $20 or better.

"With Omei Sword being so short it has opened up plenty of value elsewhere in the race," Racenet form analyst Cameron Happ said.

"Our ratings have her on top but nowhere near as short as the $2.30 and we've only got 10 cents between her and Spectroscope.

"Spectroscope at $5.50 is our main play in the race but you could also have something on both Burning Passion and Boss Lane at the odds.

"Using the Ladbrokes Odds Boost you can lock in $6.50 for Spectroscope – that's a good bet."
