Loving Gaby Adds to Inglis Graduate Success

Media Release - Sunday February 3

Loving Gaby (I Am Invincible) joined a growing list of Inglis graduates to dominate Australian 2YO races this year with a strong victory in the Group 3 Chairman's Stakes at Caulfield.

$500,000 Inglis Easter graduate Loving GabyLoving Gaby, a $500,000 Inglis Easter buy for Phoenix Thoroughbreds from Kia Ora Stud, showed an explosive turn of foot at her racetrack debut to score a most impressive win for her trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

It was the first major winner in Australia in the famous Phoenix Thoroughbreds colours.

Such was the strength of Loving Gaby's performance, the TAB crunched her odds for the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes into the third line of betting at $6, behind fellow Inglis Easter filly Catch Me.

Inglis graduates from each of the three Select Yearling Sales have won key 2YO races this year alone such as Accession, Catch Me, I Am Immortal, Dawn Passage, Magnicity, My Fire Phoenix, Castelvecchio and many more.

Fellow I Am Invincible juvenile Garibaldi won a 2YO race on debut today at Eagle Farm.

Trained by Tony Gollan and part-owned by Aquis Farm, Garibaldi is a $475,000 Classic Yearling Sale buy for Gollan, Aquis and Boomer Bloodstock, from Carramar Park.

His Dissident half sister (ex Sonnenblume) is lot 110 at next week's Classic Yearling Sale, being offered by Carramar Park.

But it was Loving Gaby (pictured) that stole the 2YO show today with a stirring win at Caulfield, a result that came as no surprise to Kia Ora Stud's Alex Kingston.

"She was always a very big and strong filly, albeit a bit raw, but she's obviously matured a lot and Ciaron and David have done a wonderful job with her,'' Kingston said of Loving Gaby, who was co-bred by Kia Ora Stud and Alan Bell.

"I know Ciaron has always had a big opinion of her and I guess it's all systems go to the Blue Diamond now.''

The $1.5m Blue Diamond Stakes is run at Caulfield on February 23.
