Star mare commits to 2019 Inglis Chairman's Sale

Breednet - Friday January 18
Top-class sprinter Snitty Kitty, a Group 2 winner at weight-for-age and Group 1 placed when beaten a head by Russian Revolution in last year's Oakleigh Plate, will be offered as a racing and breeding prospect at this year's Inglis Chairman's Sale.

Snitty KittyTrainer Henry Dwyer described the daughter of Champion Sire Snitzel as a "very high-class mare with terrific speed''.

"She's as fast a mare as Australia has seen for quite a while, she really is speed on speed,'' Dwyer said.

"She's always been a great type with a quality page and she almost won an Oakleigh Plate.

"She's got plenty of upside not only as a quality broodmare but, given she's only five, she still has a good season or two left in her as a top-level race mare as well.

"She's fit, healthy and hopefully is a Group 1 winner by the time the Chairman's Sale comes around in May.''

Inglis NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell says Snitty Kitty (pictured) would provide a domestic and international buying bench with a world-class prospect.

"Mares like Snitty Kitty just don't come on the open market very often'' Russell said.

"She broke the race record winning the Caulfield Sprint and to put her time in context, Black Caviar won twice over the Caulfield 1000m and didn't run as fast a time as Snitty Kitty.

"She is a very rare commodity and we are very much looking forward to showcasing her and a host of other top-class mares at the Chairman's Sale.''

The Inglis Chairman's Sale will be held at Riverside Stables on Friday evening, May 3.
