Snitzel Winners Stampede

A hot winning run for champion sire Snitzel in the past week continued at Gosford on Thursday with a tenacious victory for speedy three year-old colt Schnapps bringing a welcome pedigree update for his Inglis Premier bound half-brother by Vancouver.

SnitzelTrained by Brad Widdup for a partnership headed by his breeder Damion Flower of Jadeskye Thoroughbreds, Schnapps led all the way and scored a head win in the 1200 metre maiden at his fourth start.

Schnapps is the second winner for stakes-placed Anabaa USA) mare Very Cherry, who has a yearling colt by Golden Slipper winner Vancouver entered for the 2019 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale as Lot 7.

He made $125,000 as a weanling at the Inglis Great Southern Sale when bought by Princess Park / Sheamus Mills Bloodstock Pty Ltd and will be re-offered by Princess Park.

Schnapps is one of 14 winners in the past seven days for Snitzel, who has unleashed a stampede of winners in January including his first Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Exhilarates.
