MM Sires Day One - Redoute’s Choice the Leader

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 9
Popular opinion had I Am Invincible and Snitzel as the star performers at Magic Millions 2019 and they may well be by the end of this sale, but at the close of day one it was the grand old man Redoute's Choice sitting atop the sire averages.

The Arrowfield favourite had three yearlings average $690,000 with his top seller also the best of the session. Consigned by Bhima Thoroughbreds, the three-quarter brother to dual Group I winner Stratum Star from Purely Spectacular fetched $1.6 million to the bid of Phoenix Thoroughbreds and Aquis Farm.

I Am Invincible was second on the list with 19 yearlings averaging $421,053 including two youngsters that made seven figures for Yarraman Park.

The full brother to last year's sale-topper, a colt from Tai Tai Tess made $1.3 million to the bid of Waller Racing/ Mulcaster Bloodstock and a filly from Rose of Choice made $1million when snapped up by Yulong Investments.
