Magic Millions Results After First 150 Lots

Breednet - Wednesday January 9

After the first 150 lots through the ring at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale there have been three million dollar sales and the average sits at a very healthy figure.

Redoute's Choice x Purely SpectacularTop lot for the period is the Redoute's Choice colt out of Purely Spectacular, a half-brother to Group One winner and Widden Stud sire Stratum Star.

Offered by Bhima Stud, the colt was purchased by Aquis Farm for $1.6millon.

The other two million dollar lots are Lot 10, a colt by Medaglia D'Oro out of Gr.1 Sire Produce winner Peggy Jean.

Offered by Widden Stud, he was knocked down to Asian Bloodstock Services for $1million, while Lot 72, a colt by I Am Invincible out of Western Australian stakes winner Rose Of Choice sold for the same price.

He was offered by Yarraman Park Stud and knocked down to Yu Long Investments.

The average for the first 150 lots sits at $267,000 well ahead of last year's overall average of $205,000 although obviously with a long way to go.

Breednet will have all of the day's figures and stats in the Breednet Sale Centre at the finish of Day One.
