Moonee Valley Quinella for Rubick

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 29
Exciting first season sire Rubick posted a quinella in the open juvenile event at Moonee Valley on Saturday with victory going to Yes Yes Yes over Alburq, whose turn to win cannot be far away.

A last start winner at Flemington, the Darren Weir trained Yes Yes Yes made it two wins from three starts when he surged to the line to win the 1200 metre sprint by a length and a half.

"He's doing everything right although he's still pretty green," said winning rider John Allen.

"Heading to the Gold Coast and going right handed will be a new task for him, but he certainly has the ability."

"So long as he pulls up well after today I'd say he's booked his ticket to the Gold Coast," he said.

Bred by Arlington Park Racing, Yes Yes Yes was consigned to the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale by Kitchwin Hills.

A half-brother to the stakes-placed Dee Nine Elle, Yes Yes Yes was purchased by Darren Weir Racing/John Foote Bloodstock for $200,000.

He is the third winner from as many to race out of the Wellington Boot winner Sin Sin Sin, a half-sister to dual Group III AJC The Shorts winner Hot As Hell, the Listed Carrington Stakes winner Flaming Hot and the Hong Kong stakes-winner Craig's Dragon from the famed Vista Anna family nurtured by David Cobcroft.

Kitchwin Hills will offer the current yearling from Sin Sin Sin, a colt by Press Statement at the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale as Lot 987.

Coolmore based Rubick has strong representation at upcoming sales.
