Great Start for Valiant Stud

After five years in the role of Assistant Stud Manager at famed thoroughbred nursery, Segenhoe Stud, Fergal Connolly established his own boutique broodmare farm Valiant Stud in 2018 and the first breeding season for the enterprise has been a huge success.

Valiant StudSet on 200 acres of pristine horse country, Valiant Stud is located in the heart of the Hunter Valley - nestled between prominent stallion farms Newgate and Darley - offering a great location for mares to walk on and visit the best stallions in the country.

"We would like to thank the breeders who have supported us, our staff and service providers including vets and farriers that have made 2018 such a successful year," said Fergal Connolly.

"It's an extremely busy time of year, so a special thankyou to the stallion farms for being so accommodating with our bookings."

Valiant Stud moves into a new phase of the business in 2019 with the first draft of Valiant Stud consigned yearlings now being prepared for the Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast.

Lot 776 is a half-brother to Magic Millions favourite Unite and Conquer Valiant Stud will present a draft of 15 including youngsters by champion sires Snitzel, Zoustar, Pierro and Lonhro, click here to see the draft.

Highlighting the draft is the half-brother to current Magic Millions 2YO Classic favourite Unite and Conquer.

By champion racehorse and Group I sire So You Think from Maglissa, this big strapping colt will be offered as Lot 776.
