Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 27
Three juvenile heats at Randwick on Tuesday morning featured the return of spring stakes-winner Unite and Conquer, who looks to be warming up nicely for the rich Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January.

Unite and Conquer Prepared by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, the son of Hinchinbrook looks to have done well during his short break after winning the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial at Flemington in early October.

He raced up on the pace and was full of running to the line under a hold, scoring by more than three lengths and clocking 43.70 seconds for the 740 metre trial, which was the fastest of three two year-old heats.

Unite and Conquer is slated to return to racing in the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO on December 12.

An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott / Blue Sky Bloodstock from the Musk Creek Farm draft, Unite and Conquer runs for BlueBlood Thoroughbreds.

Unite and Conquer is the first foal of Maglissa, a winning half-sister by Magnus to the dams of stakes-winners Sweet Redemption and Euryale. He has an intriguing triple cross of Danehill 3 x 4 x 4, as well as a double cross of Snippets.

Maglissa is a daughter of Group I AJC Flight Stakes winner Danglissa, who was trained by Waterhouse so it’s a family she knows well given she and Adrian Bott also train Sweet Redemption, a winner of over $400,000 in prizemoney.

Valiant Stud as agent will present the current yearling from Maglissa, a colt by So You Think, at the 2019 Magic Millions as Lot 776.

Other heat winners were Enforcement (I Am Invincible) and Miss Geneva (Delago Deluxe), click here to see all the results.
