First Foal for Contributer

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 16
The success of young High Chaparral (IRE) son So You Think has put the spotlight on his sire sons to follow including his dual Australian Group I winning son Contributer (IRE), whose first foal has been born at Mapperley Stud in New Zealand.

A star performer for Godolphin in Australia under the care of John O'Shea, Contributer won the Group I ATC Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) and ATC Ranvet Stakes (2000m) among his eight wins from 18 starts.

Retired to Mapperley Stud in New Zealand, Contributer is the sire of this lovely filly from good producing Thunder Gulch (USA) mare Shades of Silk, who has left five winners headed by Group II winner Showboy.

"She is a beautiful filly – she has great legs, good bone, has plenty of scope and a beautiful head. It's every studmaster's dream to have foals that look like this and we're more than confident that there will be plenty more cracking types to come," said Simms Davison, Mapperley Studmaster.

Contributer stands at a fee of $12,500.
