Three Stakes-Winners in Seven Days for Showcasing

Media Release - Thursday November 1
Former Haunui Farm stallion Showcasing (GB) (Oasis Dream) is enjoying a break-out season in Europe in 2018. Along with siring another G1 winner – Advertise - he has a further four stakes winning 2YO's to his credit with three of those coming in the last seven days!

ShowcasingAdvertise landed the G1 Phoenix Stakes at The Curragh in August. That was off the back of an impressive victory in the G2 July Stakes at Newmarket having finished runner-up in the Coventry at Royal Ascot second up. He ended his two-year-old season with a runner-up performance in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes in the middle of October and goes to the paddock one of the best colts in Europe at the present time.

This past week however, has seen Showcasing's 2YO's prove formidable in stakes races around Europe, starting with the win of Showout in he Listed Prix Zeddan at Deauville on the 23rd of October. Next came Mohaather on the 27th of October in the G3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury and Devant topped things off yesterday in the G3 Prix Miesque at Maisons-Laffitte.

Weekend racing in New Zealand also saw two further stakes performers for Showcasing with Last Sight and Appellant finishing second and third in the Listed Wellesley Stakes respectively. Last season's stakes winning 2YO's Xpression and Bit Lippy have kicked off their 3YO seasons in fine form with Xpression the current favourite for the G1 1000 Guineas whilst Bit Lippy is a leading contender in the 2000 Guineas.

Showcasing has two further southern hemisphere crops to come and results like these will ensure his progeny are in hot demand throughout Australasia when the yearling sale season kicks off in January.
