Waller Strikes at Tattersalls

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday October 30
The Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale is underway with champion trainer Chris Waller striking on day one to secure promising three year-old Mr Reckless for 240,000 guineas.

Mr Reckless is headed to AustraliaThe handsome grey by Reckless Abandon was offered as Lot 248 bought on his behalf by bloodstock agent Guy Mulcaster.

"He's the right type of horse," said Mulcaster.

"We took a look at him early in the year and have been following his progress. He stays 1m2f well, which is ideal, but we might try to stretch him out a bit. The prize-money has gone up in Sydney, so hopefully we'll have some fun."

Trained by Jamie Osborne, Mr Reckless has won three of 10 starts and was a last start winner at Windsor over 1m 3f on October 8.
