Did you back something which was a good thing beaten? Or maybe just turned in an eye-catching run?

Come on, share it with the rest of us, through the 'comments' section below.

ROSEHILL – Greg Polson

ZESTFUL – On a day when there were a host of follow me runs at Rosehill, going with one a little less obvious as our blackbooker this week. I thought the run of the Kris Lees-trained mare was good enough to suggest there is another win or two in her this preparation. Zestful was disappointed going for a run at the 300m and only saw clear running late but she looked to have run out of steam over the latter stages. She will derive plenty of benefit from the run and will be hard to beat the next time she steps out. We might have to wait until September 9 for Zestful with the Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill an ideal target. Although it will be a four-week break between races it is worth noting four of Zestful's five career wins have come on the fresh side. Career statistics (15:5-1-2).

FLEMINGTON – Cameron Happ

GRANDE ROSSO – This six-year-old son of Written Tycoon looks set for another big campaign for the Hayes-Dabernig stable. He took big steps last campaign winning four races including two at Listed level and he's always been a horse that improves dramatically on his fresh run. This time in he was outstanding in a Flemington jumpout and he backed that up with the best first-up run of his career when right there until out muscled late behind the classy Hey Doc in the Aurie's Star. All his best form is over the 1400 metre trip so there's plenty of options available at this time of year without taking on the best at weight-for-age. Follow him right throughout the spring and always include him in exotics, especially in strong races where he's likely to be a price. Career statistics (28:7-6-1).

DOOMBEN – Graeme Carey

ONE INCH PUNCH – Resumed with a solid effort in a Class 6 over 1350m. Matt McGillivray urged him out of the gates but he didn't have early speed and was out the back early before saving ground near the rail to the home turn. He then ran on solidly in the straight for third and whilst beaten 3-1/2 lengths, he showed tenacity to hold the others off. Has been a consistent performer since moving from Victoria to join the Toby Edmonds stable having won three times and never being out of the top four in nine outings. He will gain fitness from the run, has a good second-up record and is capable in similar company up to a mile. Career statistics (30:6-8-7).

MORPHETTVILLE – Heath Pope

MISS IDENTIFIED – This four-year-old mare only has a modest record but is a genuine Adelaide Saturday grade horse. She appears to have come back as well as ever, finding the line well in both runs this preparation behind the promising Miss Jane. Her second-up run was better than the first based on the fact she made good ground late against what was a clear on-pace dominated bias. To be beaten just 2-1/4 lengths was a real eye-catching effort. Hopefully she'll step up to 1400-1600m now and will be ready to win in her next two starts. Career statistics (17:2-4-4).

BELMONT – Aaron Mills

GENERAL HUSSON – He again didn't enjoy the heavy track on Saturday to finish well beaten in both starts this time in work although those runs will have brought him on nicely for a more suitable assignment next time out. This Adam Durrant-trained gelding did a great job in his three-year-old season with a trio of Ascot victories, including when defeating subsequent stakes winner Gangbuster over 1400 metres before spelling. With Perth's big wet sure to be coming to an end we can expect General Husson to command plenty of attention when next he steps out. Career record (14:3-2-3).
