South African Winner for Smart Missile

In-form sire Smart Missile has had 47 Australian winners so far this season and added one to his tally in south Africa on Tuesday with a Fairview victory for three year-old filly Landela.

Trained by Alan Greeff, she strode clear to win the 1100 metre fillies and mares maiden by two and a half lengths as favourite at her fifth start.

A $180,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Form Bloodstock from the Gilgai Farm draft, Landela is the second winner from Follow That Cat, a half-sister by Tale of the Cat (USA) to Group I winner Driefontein.
