Riverman Factor a Highlight for Who’s That Cat

Media Release - Tuesday October 9
We all strive to breed a racehorse with the 'X Factor' like Winx and Zenyatta and this QLD Breed To Race Stallion is only one of two horses in Australasia to posess Riverman in a vital pedigree position in the direct damline and is also blood related to champion mare Triptych.

Who's That CatHis pedigree warrants further investigation.

So why the focus on Riverman and the link to Winx and Street Cry? Why is Winx So Good? Riverman appears in the pedigree of seven of the top 10 mares in the last 50 years.

Why has Street Cry sired two of the best mares in the world? Is Riverman the secret?

Riverman is the sire of the second dam of who's That Cat.

Winx, winner of 32 from 38 races of which 29 are group races including 21 group one wins and 28 wins on the trot. Zenyatta winner of 19 from 20 starts of which 17 were Group races including 13 group one wins, only beaten once in to second at her last start before retiring. Street Cry's next best are South African Champion Filly, Oh Susanna and the Kentucky Derby winning stallion Street Sense.

An interesting note was that Street Cry and Anabaa have the same 2nd dam sire Riverman and another mare right up there with the above is Goldikova, a daughter of Anabaa. She is the winner of 14 Group one races and has a double of Riverman, both being the 3rd dam sire on the sire and dam lines.

Another superstar mare with the Riverman blood is Treve, the winner of 6 Group ones including 2 x Prix de I'arc De Triomphe in consecutive years, her dam is by Anabaa and 2nd dam is by Riverman, so another double cross.

More Riverman stars include:

Maykbe Diva, 36 starts for 15 wins,10 group wins of which 5 were group ones including 3 x Melbourne Cups in consecutive years, dam by Riverman.

Bosra Sham, winner of 7 races from 10 starts , 6 Group of which 3 were at group one, dam by Riverman.

Also Triptych another champion mare that won 14 races and 9 of them were Group one races. She is by Riverman and is a sister-in-blood to Dear Dorothy, the second dam of Who's That Cat.

Checking all commercial stallions standing in Australasia to find only two that have Riverman in the damside of their pedigree. He is the 2nd dam sire of new season stallion Who's That Cat (by Tale of the Cat (USA)) standing in Queensland at Merlo Downs for $2,200 www.wtcstallion.com.au and 5th dam sire of Territories standing at Darley for $16,500 .

So if your looking to breed to a stallion with an interesting point of difference, free of Danehill blood, related to champion mare (Triptych) and QTIS bonus eligible, Who’s That Cat is one to consider.
