An eye-catching second on debut two weeks ago at Randwick when she raced greenly
and charged home late, Nakeeta Jane was a lot more tractable this time around
and found the line strongly for Josh Parr to win the 1400 metre maiden by more
than a length."She's a lovely big filly, a really imposing type," Parr said.
"She's still learning her trade and she'll be better over further."
A homebred for the Towell family of GT Park, Nakeeta Jane is the fifth winner from five foals to race from stakes-placed Flying Spur mare Lustre Lady, whose imported dam Lucky Lady (GB) is a daughter of Group I Epsom Oaks winner Jet Ski Lady.
With a pedigree like that and a sire like So You Think, connections would be entitled to be thinking Oaks at some point this season!
