Foal Gallery Winner Delights Owners

Tara Madgwick - Sunday August 13
The Breednet Foal Gallery showcases thoroughbred foals from all over Australia and New Zealand and while the majority are sent in by commercial studs, we have plenty of support from owner breeders and one of those tasted success with a foal gallery star from 2013 at Morphettville on Saturday.

Vieira as a foal in 2013Owner/ breeder Mark Minuzzo sent us this image of his Keano colt from All Force back in spring 2013 and on Saturday he won his first metropolitan race when scoring at Morphettville for the Leah Conlon stable.

It was the second win for Vieira, who has also been placed three times from eight starts earning nearly $50,000 in prizemoney.

It has not been plain sailing for the gelding, whose owners have required plenty of patience as he overcame injury.

"Vieira has always shown ability, but had double knee surgery last November, so we'd like to thank Dr Darren Arnold and also Adelaide Hills Horse Agistment ( Charmae Bell) for their professionalism and care in Vieira s recovery," said Mark Minuzzo.

Sadly for Mr Minuzzo, All Force died last year, but she has a three year-old Ambidexter filly to go on with.
