Prepared by Richard Freedman and ridden by Kayla Nisbet, The Soloist was
favourite for the 1200 metre maiden and forged clear to win by three-quarters
of a length.The Soloist is a half-sister to Group III winner Siren's Fury and classy six time winning HK sprinter Hot King Prawn being the fifth winner from good producer De Chorus.
De Chorus has a yearling filly by The Factor (USA) and was covered last spring by Golden Slipper winner Capitalist. Her two year-old colt by Your Song has been retained by Torryburn and named Deauville with Peter and Paul Snowden to train.
A proven son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Smart Missile is running second on the leading Australian Sires List by winners for this season behind only I Am Invincible. He stands at Twin Hills at a fee of $13,200.
