Invincible Star Confirmed for Everest

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 22

Yarraman Park's flagship sire I Am Invincible will have a runner in the $13 million The Everest after it was confirmed Greg Ingham's s GPI Racing has snapped up the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained mare Invincible Star.

Invincible Star - Grant CourtneyIngham, who's a part owner of Hawkes Racing-trained gallopers Chautauqua and Showtime, secured the lightly raced four year-old when Andrew Williams, of Andrew Williams Bloodstock completed a deal with the Waterhouse/Bott stable on Wednesday night to join her stablemate English in the world's richest turf race.

Invincible Star's presence in the October 13 Randwick showpiece means 10 of the 12 places in the field are now accounted for with only the Australian Turf Club and the syndicate of Max Whitby and Neil Werrett still to announce their runners.

Invincible Star has firmed into $17 to win the weight-for-age feature sprint.
