The catalogue for Book 1 of the 2018 Tattersalls October YearlingSale, which takes place Tuesday 9th October - Thursday 11th October, is now online.

It can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. Europe's premier yearling sale numbers 519 lots, all of which are eligible for the £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus scheme.

GalileoThe flagship Tattersalls sale has attracted a truly outstanding collection of the finest yearlings to be found anywhere in the world, including 21 yearlings by DUBAWI, 21 by GALILEO and 25 yearlings from the fourth crop of the peerless Champion racehorse FRANKEL.

Inaddition, the catalogue features own or half brothers andsisters to 47 Group1 and Classic winners and a massive 246 Group/Listedwinners. Amongst the siblings toClassic and Group 1 winners areown or half brothers to 2017 and 2018 stars ACLAIM, HARRY ANGEL, KEW GARDENS, SEA OF CLASS, THE TIN MAN and WALDGEIST as well as GALILEO GOLD, GOLDEN HORN, JUST THE JUDGE, LEGATISSIMO, MASKED MARVEL, MECCA'S ANGEL, RIP VAN WINKLE, SLADE POWER and WAS. Amongst a host of beautifully bred fillies are own or halfsisters to Classic and Group 1winners BATTAASH, BEAUTY PARLOUR, BOBBY'S KITTEN, CHARMING THOUGHT, CURSORY GLANCE, GARSWOOD, MASKED MARVEL, MATERIALITY, RIZEENA, SHALAA and SULTANINA as well as tothisyear's Grand Prix de Paris winner KEW GARDENS and 2017 Irish Derby and St Leger winner CAPRI.

An impressive 18 Group 1 and Classic winning mares have yearlings catalogued including colt first foals out of CURSORY GLANCE and ODELIZ, by WAR FRONT and DUBAWI respectively and filly first foals out of the outstanding racemares RIBBONS and VOLEUSE DE COEURS by FRANKEL and DUBAWI. Classic winners SKY LANTERN and TALENT both have their colt second foals catalogued, by DUBAWI and DANSILI, while the great racemares ALEXANDER GOLDRUN, AMBIVALENT, AQUARELLISTE, DAR RE MI, FALLEN FOR YOU, MAJESTIC ROI and MAURALAKANA all also have yearlings catalogued.

All of the current top 20 active sires standing in Britain andIreland are wellrepresented with the current top four GALILEO, DUBAWI, FRANKEL and SEA THE STARS having 94 yearlings catalogued between them. Amongst the 21 yearlings by Coolmore's nine-time Champion sireGALILEO are the own or half brothers to Classic and Group 1 winners GOLDEN HORN and WAS as well as the own-sisters to Irish Derby hero CAPRI and Grand Prix de Paris winner KEW GARDENS.

Darley's superstar sire DUBAWI is also represented by 21 regally bred yearlings. In addition to the second foals out of AMBIVALENT and SKY LANTERN, DUBAWI has own or halfbrothers/sisters to Classic and Group 1 winners BEAUTY PARLOUR, CHARMING THOUGHT, CURSORY GLANCE, LEGATISSIMO and SHEIKHZAYEDROAD, as well as the own brother to SO MI DAR, LAH TI DAR and current ante post Derby favourite TOO DARN HOT out of the extraordinary mare DAR RE MI.

In total thetop 20 active sires have 265 yearlings cataloguedbetween them with thecurrent top 10 accounting for a massive166 yearlings. Top 10 sires DARK ANGEL and SEA THE STARS have 20 and 27 apiece, KODIAC and INVINCIBLE SPIRIT have 23 and 17 respectively, while NEW APPROACH, sire of Derby winner MASAR has seven catalogued and MASTERCRAFTSMAN, sire of superstar filly ALPHA CENTAURI, a further five.

FrankelNow well established as one of the world's leading sires, the incomparable FRANKEL's 25 yearlings also look set to command plenty of international attention and include the half sisters to Group 1 and 2 winners ALJAZZI, MASKED MARVEL and SULTANINA as well as the half brother to Champion miler RIP VAN WINKLE.

Sires with theirfirstcrop of two year olds also feature prominently with current leader NO NAY NEVER having 10 catalogued from his second crop, CHARM SPIRIT three and KINGMAN an impressive 31, including the halfsisterto Champion two year old RIZEENA and the half brother to this year's Group 1 Grand Prix deSaintCloud winner WALDGEIST.

Devoteesof first crop yearling sires will also be spoilt for choice with15 freshmenrepresented by a total of 91 yearlings led by theChampion trio of outstanding Derbywinner GOLDEN HORN, dual Guineas winner GLENEAGLES andall-conquering sprinterMUHAARAR who have 18, 15 and 30 yearlings catalogued respectively. DUBAWI's 2000 Guineas winning son NIGHT OF THUNDER isalso well represented with a further nine yearlings catalogued.

Overseasbased sires traditionally play a prominent role at Book 1of the OctoberYearling Sale and proven Group/Grade 1 USAbased sires BLAME, DISTORTED HUMOR, KITTEN'S JOY, MEDAGLIAD'ORO, MORE THAN READY, SPEIGHTSTOWN, STREET SENSE, UNCLE MO and WAR FRONT allfeature prominently alongside top French - based siresDABIRSIM, KENDARGENT, LE HAVRE, WOOTTON BASSETT and current leading French sire SIYOUNI who has 24 yearlings catalogued.

The largest consignment comes from Highclere Stud with 31 yearlings, whilst Newsells Park Stud comes next with 24 yearlings. Following closely is the Castlebridge Consignment with a team of 22 yearlings, New England Stud with 21 and Watership Down Stud with 20, while last year's sale topping consignor Norris Bloodstock has seven catalogued.
