Quality breeding stock bountiful on gavelhouse.com

Breednet - Friday July 20
The latest gavelhouse, com New Zealand auction is online now with 53 Lots, 31 of which are unreserved, and some real quality breeding opportunities on offer.

Irish CreamWith the season just around the corner, those looking to bolster their broodmare ranks have plenty to choose from. Successful Taranaki-based breeder Dan Myers has six quality broodmares entered as part of a dispersal sale.

All empty, the mares have been well mated in the past and are by the likes of Danehill, Reset, Street Cry and Tale of the Cat. Also included are two is a recently retired dual winner by Rip Van Winkle at
Lot 47 and Lot 49 , Stolen Love (Savabeel) who is a half-sister to Group Two performer She's A Thief and also yet to produce a foal.

Brighthill Farm's
Lot 41 , Only Alone, holds significant appeal being in foal to Tavistock and from an outstanding international family.

An imported daughter of Rahy, she is a half-sister to champion French mare Occupandiste who herself has produced four stakes-winners including dual Group One winner Mondialiste. Only Alone's four to race are all winners.

Attracting plenty of early interest has been Te Akau Racing's recently retired filly Irish Cream at
Lot 37 . A daughter of champion sire and broodmare sire O'Reilly and out of the Zabeel mare Zantelagh, the juvenile winner this season had flown past her $15,000 reserve to be at $32,000 on Friday morning.

On the other side of the equation, breeders looking to secure a nomination to Melbourne Cup winner Shocking have the opportunity to secure one online with the sire of Gr.1 NZ Oaks winner Fanatic standing for $10,000 + GST this spring.

Of the racing stock, a multiple winner by Tavistock at
Lot 25 , Vittachi is listed for sale of the back of his last start win at Te Rapa a fortnight ago. Touted as a promising stayer in the making, he remains in full work with the Baker/Forsman stable in Cambridge and with a reasonable reserve could provide a quick return for his buyer.

Final bids will be taken on Monday 23 July starting at Lot 1 from 7pm NZ time with a unique piece of racing memorabilia being auctioned for charity. Who Shot Thebarman's Sydney Cup saddlecloth has been signed by jockey Blake Shinn and Chris Waller with the Boys Get Paid group set to split the proceeds 50/50 between the Men's Health Trust and Riding for the Disabled.

Breeders with shares and nominations they are looking to move on can do so via gavelhouse.com, ensuring they get maximum exposure for just the $250 + GST entry fee with a 5% commission rate should a successful sale eventuate. Meanwhile, entries for the next gavelhouse.com Australia catalogue close on 23July.
