Winners Continue to Flow for No Nay Never

Mark Smith - Friday July 6

Coolmore's No Nay Never extended his lead on the GB/Ire first season sires table when the Aidan O'Brien-trained Land Force earned a well-deserved maiden stakes success in the Listed Coolmore Pride Of Dubai Tipperary Stakes over 5-furlongs.

He becomes the second stakes-winner for Nay No Never who earlier in the day chalked up his 11th individual winner when the Tom Dascombe-trained Jonah Jones romped home a 4-length winner of a 6-furlong novice at Haydock Park.

Land Force was successful in a maiden at the Curragh in May at his second start, before finishing third in the Listed Marble Hill Stakes and the Group II Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Ridden by Donnacha O'Brien, Land Force defeated the filly Mintd, a daughter of Arrowfield shuttler Olympic Glory by two lengths, after racing handy to the speed.

A 350,000euro Goffs Yearling, Land Force has a Group II next on the agenda according to his trainer.

"He had a lovely run in Ascot and the plan is to go for the six furlongs July Stakes at Newmarket next," O'Brien said.

A half-brother to dual Group 1 winner Photo Call (Galileo), Land Force is out of the Group III winning Rock Of Gibraltar mare Theann who is a half-sister to triple Group 1 winner Halfway To Heaven (Pivotal) the dam of Rhododendron (Galileo) who is herself a triple Group 1 winner including the recent Lockinge Stakes at Newbury.

A powerfully made, highly prized son of Scat Daddy, No Nay Never will have a rise in fee to $19,250 at Coolmore Sud in 2018 having stood his first two seasons at $11,000.
