Another Smart Winner

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 2
Twin Hill Stud's new addition Smart Missile has hit top gear as we head towards the breeding season with eight winners in the past seven days including another impressive two year-old winner on Monday.

Smart MissileThe Matt Cumani trained filly Anthemoessa was second at her first two runs last November and December before finishing ninth to Sunlight in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Given a good spell after that hectic test at the Gold Coast, she was having her second run back at Wangaratta on Monday and won with ease.

Anthemoessa travelled comfortably midfield and hit the line hard for Jordan Childs to win the 1170 metre maiden by a length and three-quarters.

A $130,000 Magic Millions purchase for Matt Cumani/ Boomer Bloodstock from the Sledmere Stud draft, Anthemoessa is the first winner for Musical Lady, a half-sister by Carnegie (IRE) to Group I ATC Australian Oaks winner Rena's Lady and Group Winners Vatuvei and Raise.

She is the 104th winner this season for Smart Missile, whose offspring have won nearly $6million in prizemoney.

A son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Smart Missile stands at a fee of $13,200 at Twin Hills Stud.
