Set to offer what they consider to be their ‘best ever’ Inglis Premier yearling sale draft, the Miranda Park team will present seven colts and three fillies at the upcoming sale.
Located in the heart of the Macedon Ranges in Hesket, Miranda Park has produced a steady stream of successful graduates of late including the G2-winning, million-dollar earner Sirileo Miss (Pride Of Dubai), Pat Carey’s stable star La Astro Chat (Star Turn) along with John Moloney’s rising star The Volta (Tassort).
With Miranda Park’s draft all born and raised at the farm some of the sires represented in their ten-strong draft include the G1-producing sires Street Boss, Hellbent, Pride Of Dubai and Rubick, while the farm is also looking forward to offering a quality pair by the super consistent Rich Enuff, as well as a colt from the first crop of Snitzel stallion Bruckner, himself a $725,000 Inglis Premier yearling graduate.
A noteworthy feature of the draft on the whole is the great athleticism and fluid movement of the yearlings, with some standout lots including:
Lot 331: Pride of Dubai x She's Sirius, by Galileo colt

“One of the standouts in the draft is the full-brother to four-time Group winner Sirileo Miss. Powerful and correct, this colt oozes class; he has a quality head and eye, and a wonderful temperament. He moves like a well-oiled machine,” stated Stud Manager Gary O'Meara.
A lovely colt with an exceptional temperament, Lot 331 is a full brother to Sirileo Miss, the winner of nine races including the G2 MVRC Sunline Stakes and the G3 VRC Matron Stakes. He is a beautiful moving colt from a quality family and is bred on the Pride Of Dubai x Galileo cross that has 100% winners to runners.
Lot 9: Hellbent x Destiny Diamond, by Raphael’s Cat colt

“The Hellbent colt out of Destiny Diamond has all the traits the good Hellbent runners possess; beautifully proportioned, an excellent walker, and a great attitude to his work.”
“He is the second foal of a fast young mare, Lot 9 is closely related to the Listed-winning, gun sprinter In The Boat, as well as the multiple G1 winner Humidor.”
Lot 400: Hellbent x The Weight, by Nicconi filly

“Another of our Hellbent yearlings is Lot 400, a full sister in blood to multiple G1 winner, Magic Time.
“This neat, attractive filly is beautifully conformed, has a purposeful walk and a very good temperament. She presents as an excellent opportunity for astute buyers looking for fillies with residual commercial value.”
Lot 529: Street Boss (USA) x Bring The Magic, by Sebring colt

“The only chestnut colt in the sale by elite stallion Street Boss, the colt is out of the classy Sebring mare Bring The Magic.”
“This colt has continued to improve throughout the prep and is bound to be highly popular. He is a replica of his sire, has perfect X-rays, and looks like a sharp early running type.”
From the family of G1 winners Fairy King Prawn, Easy Rocking and Cosmic Endeavour, Lot 529 is a son of Street Boss who is currently experiencing an outstanding run on the track through 3yo Tentyris, while on the weekend he narrowly missed out on two new G1 winners with Pericles winning the G1 Futurity Stakes and Closer To Free a narrow second in the G1 Blue Diamond.
Lot 102: Rich Enuff x Highfalutin Gal, All Too Hard colt

A lovely well-grown, August foaled colt by Rich Enuff. He has very good athletic appeal, and will be of much interest to a wide range of buyers. He is a very strong, correct individual whose second dam was the multiple stakes winning Shamardal mare, Marquardt.
Lot 103: Pride Of Dubai x Highly Secret, by High Chaparral colt

This colt is bred on the magical Pride Of Dubai x High Chaparral cross that has yielded 16 winners from just 21 runners, highlighted by six stakes performers including the G1 winner Desert Lightning. He is a beautiful bay colt with plenty of leg, a quality classy head and huge presence.
Lot 339: Bruckner x Silent Mode, by El Moxie colt

A good looking, very athletic first-crop colt by Bruckner who ran Home Affairs to a half-length in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, Lot 339 is out of Silent Mode who has had three to the races, all metropolitan winners including the stakes placed pair of Philonize and Miss Jane.
Lot 518: Rubick x Blackboots, by Wandjina colt

Currently the sire of 38 stakes performers, Rubick is performing extremely well both locally in Australia and in Hong Kong where he has been represented by Rubylot, a winner of over $HK19m. From the family of G1 Goodwood Handicap winner Savatoxl, this colt is out of a mare by Wandjina, broodmare sire of eight winners from just 11 runners.
He is a very straightforward, correct colt perfectly suited to trade buyers.
Lot 568: Rich Enuff x Corcovado, by Churchill Downs filly

Third foal from a winning Churchill Downs half-sister to the stakes placed Surpass Natural. She is a powerful filly, who has plenty of scope with a big action, from a wonderful speed family that descends from the great Star Kingdom mare Citius.
Lot 656: Hellbent x Markievicz, by Starspangledbanner filly

The first foal of a city winning Starspangledbanner daughter of the dual G3 winner Gabbidon, it is the family of Champion fillies Kate’s Myth and Mythical Play.
“This filly has pleased us no end, she has been a constant improver throughout her preparation. She has a terrific attitude to her work, moves elegantly and has a delightful attitude. She just looks better every day!”
With a range of yearlings to suit trade buyers, as well as local trainers and syndicators, the team at Miranda Park are extremely proud to present their draft which can be inspected at Barn C from Wednesday, February 25.
