2026 Golden Slipper Order of Entry Updated

The predicted shake up to the Golden Slipper order came last Saturday although not in the way many expected.

Victorian raider Stretan Ruler (Wild Ruler) hit the top of the list and is exempt from ballot after his G2 Silver Slipper romp, while the filly Streisand (Magnus) proved too good for the colts in the G1 Blue Diamond.

This weekend we see the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes and Skyline Stakes with the winners of both races set to make their way up the list.

The colts go around in the Skyline with interesting entries including unbeaten colts Fireball (Snitzel) and Warwoven (Sword of State) , while the fillies do battle in the Sweet Embrace with Brisbane winners Pembrey (Prague) and Cherry Bombshell (Lucky Vega (IRE)  set to throw their hats in the ring along with the ambitiously named Ciaron’s Star, a last start winner of the ATC Pierro Plate.

The Rosehill trials today also held plenty of interest with the return of exciting Extreme Choice colt Paradoxium and a tick over trial for Agrarian Girl (Tassort), plush flying Zoustar filly Rachini will be ready to rock and roll when they pull the trigger with her.
