Strong Early Feedback on Mr Mozart

Media Release - Wednesday February 18

The first foals by Mr Mozart are on the ground, and the reports from breeders have been overwhelmingly positive.

Mr Mozart

Across the board, feedback has been consistent: good, strong, correct types with excellent temperaments. There’s a genuine enthusiasm building around this first crop, and connections are already looking ahead with confidence to the 2027 Yearling Sales.

One breeder singing Mr Mozart’s praises is Mark Chitty of Haunui Farm.

“We really like him, he’s got pedigree, race record and type in his favour,” he said. “We’ve sent a variety of mares to him and we’ve been rewarded with nice quality foals, really good colts and fillies.

“He’s an easy horse for us to recommend to clients, being a son of Snitzel, and we’ve seen how well Sword of State has gone. He’s a really good chance.”

A multiple Australian Group-winning stallion, Mr Mozart made an immediate impression at stud. He covered 160 mares across his first two seasons and demonstrated outstanding fertility, giving breeders every opportunity to capitalise on his early momentum.

Mr Mozart continues to represent exceptional value for a proven Australian Group performer entering the sales ring cycle with strong early support and quality stock on the ground. His service fee will remain unchanged in 2026 ($6,000 +GST).
