Third Winner in Australia for Kuroshio

Harry Grace made full use of his inside barrier on the John Salanitri-trained Tidal Rose who made a winning career debut in a maiden plate of 1000 metres at Donald on Saturday.

Sent off as the second longest priced runner in the 11-horse field, Tidal Rose defeated Bold type (Written Tycoon) by three-quarters of a length with Shadonte (Redente) a head back in third.

The Hirsch family homebred is the third winner from four to race out of the winning Archway mare Roseway Bay.

She becomes the third Australian winner for Darley Stud's Exceed and Excel stallion Kuroshio who has already made an impact in the northern hemisphere despite a very small crop.

Coming off serving a career-high 133 mares in 2017, Kuroshio will stand for a fee of $5,500 (LF) at Darley's Victorian base, Northwood Park, in 2018.
