As the highest prizemoney earning Australian-bred still in training, six-time G1 winner Voyage Bubble is a graduate of the Inglis Classic yearling sale, having topped the 2020 sale when knocked down to Hong Kong trainer Ricky Yiu for $380,000m when offered by the Cornish’s Torryburn Stud. In 2026, the team presents a quaility draft of seven yearlings, four fillies and three colts.

“The Inglis Classic sale has been historically a brilliant sale for us as a vendor and more so the buying bench for some wonderful purchases including a few Hong Kong heroes and some talented fillies earning far above their purchase price and adding important black type wins to their resume,” said Torryburn Stud’s Mel Copelin.

Torryburn Stud's Inglis Classic Graduate Voyage Bubble Is Currently The Highest Prizemoney Earning Australian-Bred In Training

“While rolling into the 2026 Inglis Classic while we don’t unfortunately have a Voyage Bubble relative (sorry she’s being kept), we do have a grey filly from the family of Champion Hong Kong Sprinter, and our Inglis Classic graduate Hot King Prawn, as well as some super classy fillies that match the physicality of our most recent classic group graduates, the G3 winners Idle Flyer and Mare Of Mount Buller.

Closely Related To Lot 744, G1W Hot King Prawn Is Another Inglis Classic Graduate From Torryburn Stud

“It’s all about the fillies this year with our foal crop being 85% female in 2024 but remember our farm has raised the likes of Dixie Blossoms, El Dorado Dreaming and Espiona – all G1-winning fillies/mares.”

Lot 79: Pierro x Imperial Lass, by Tavistock filly

A bay filly by Coolmore Stud’s Pierro, Lot 79 is out of the G1 Queensland Oaks placed Tavistock mare Imperial Lass, the dam of two winners led by dual G2 winner Straight Arron (Fastnet Rock).

Imperial Lass is a three-quarter-sister to G1 Australian Derby winner Tavago and a half-sister to the G2-winning, G1 placed La Sizeranne from the family of stakes winners Weregoingtogetcha, Za Moulin Rouge, Bright Blue Sky and extending back to the family of Champion sire Lonhro.

“A feminine, yet strong filly with a huge pedigree who has been favoured by the staff for her tractable temperament and fluid way of going. A filly with brilliant residual value, she’s definitely one to look at.”

Lot 310: Hellbent x Pixel Perfect, by Snitzel filly

From very much a filly family which includes female stakes performers Snapshots, Memento, Cinematic, Lady Dehere as well as Champions and G1 winners Sea Siren and her daughter Warm Heart, Lot 310 is bred on the Hellbent x Snitzel pedigree cross which has had 11 winners from 13 runners led $1.8m earner Fully Lit, a winner at Restricted Listed level who also finished second in G1 Epsom Handicap behind Autumn Glow.

“A filly who should check all the boxes with strength, scope and an air of class. An already proven pedigree cross being out of a Snitzel mare. She’s a straight-forward filly ready to start now.”

Lot 341: Home Affairs x Red Hearts, by Lonhro filly

From the second crop of our very own home-grown Champion, the dual G1-winning son of I Am Invincible sire Home Affairs, whose first crop has produced four winners from 16 runners including the G2 winner Kinnaird as well as a further five stakes performers, Lot 341 is out of the winning Lonhro half-sister to dual G2 winner Deploy and is bred on the exact same I Am Invincible x Lonhro pedigree cross that has recorded produced G1 winner Zapateo.

“An outstanding physical on this filly, she’s one to be admired and being by our poster boy Home Affairs, this girl has everything one could want.

“She would hold her own in a nice line up colts but has plenty of feminine qualities who moves lightly along the ground with a good reaching overstep, strength in the hind leg, lower set hocks and nice short cannons.”

Lot 279: Zousain x Our Intrigue, by Showcasing colt

A son of Widden’s Zoustar stallion Zousain, the sire of seven stakes performers including G3 winners Drifting and Amelita, this colt is the second foal of the dual G2 placed Showcasing mare Our Intrigue (NZ).

From the extended family of G1 winners Time Away and Cursory Glance, this colt is out of a mare by Showcasing, the broodmare sire of 37 stakes performers including the four-time G1 winner Lake Victoria.

Lot 342: Best Of Bordeaux Red Hot Chillies, Red Ransom colt

From the first crop of Snitzel’s dual G2-winning, G1 Golden Slipper runner-up Best Of Bordeaux, this colt is out of the Red Ransom mare Red Hot Chillies, a half-sister to the stakes placed Privaka.

Best Of Bordeaux was a winner of the G2 Roman Consul Stakes, just like G1 producing sires Russian Revolution, Exopshere, Zoustar, Foxwedge and Exceed And Excel.

Lot 744: Maurice x De Chorus Line, by The Factor filly

Grey filly by Maurice, sire of seven individual G1 winners, this filly is the third foal out of The Factor mare De Chorus Line, a half-sister to Champion Hong Kong Sprinter and G1-winning Torryburn Stud yearling sale graduate Hot King Prawn, the dual G3 winner Siren’s Fury and also to the dam of Listed winner First Immortal.

Lot 753: Dundeel (NZ) x Deployment, by Fastnet Rock colt

A son of Arrowfield Stud’s Dundeel, sire of nine G1 winners including Seth Seth, Castelvecchio and Celestial Legend, Torryburn Stud’s final lot of the sale is the second foal of the unraced, full brother to dual G2 winner Deploy, both out of the G3 winner Crismon Reign.

Mares by Fastnet Rock have produced almost 300 stakes performers headed by 18 G1 winners including Lady Of Camelot, Zougotcha, Joliestar and Santa Ana Lane.

“It’s a sale full of fond memories for the Torryburn Stud team, a sale topper, a top price achieved for a first season and some black type performed mares, we’re hopeful we can offer the same quality once again, especially with our fillies this time around,” enthused Copelin.

Inspections of Torryburn Stud’s draft will commence on the morning of Wednesday February 4, located in Barn H at the Inglis Riverside Stables complex.
