Magic Millions 2026 – Pinhook Winners

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 20

The Magic Millions Yearling Sale last week was fertile ground for pinhookers with 23 yearlings selling for $100,000 or more above their weanling purchase price in Book 1.

First season sire Anamoe was a smart bet for investors and three of the top four pinhooks were by the Australian horse of the Year, who led the first season sire averages at the Gold Coast.

Topping the list was the Lime Country Thoroughbreds consigned filly that sold for $800,000 and is the fourth foal of stakes-winning Sebring mare Eawase, a daughter of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Karuta Queen.

Anamoe filly from Eawase sold for $800,000.

She was purchased by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock and sourced originally from the Alma Vale Thoroughbreds draft at the Inglis Weanling Sale for $340,000.

Newgate Farm also got $800,000 for their Anamoe filly from Kiki Express that was bought by Matt Laurie Racing/Willannah Park Bloodstock/ARJB.
