$1.2million Extreme Choice Colt Sold by The Chase

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 13

The second million dollar colt on the opening day of Magic Millions came late on Tuesday when the Extreme Choice colt from former brilliant I Am Invincible filly Dame Giselle sold for $1.2million.

$1.2million Extreme Choice colt from Dame Giselle.

Bred by China Horse Club and offered in the draft of their Southern Highlands based farm The Chase, the star colt was purchased by Waller Racing/ Mulcaster Bloodstock.

“We’re pretty happy with that colt, he looked sharp and he’s got a beautiful family,” said Guy Mulcaster.

“We looked at him two days ago with Chris and he said they all run out of that family and that was good enough for me.

“I thought we’d be hard enough to beat and we didn’t let on too much what we were up to, so we probably got him at the right odds.

The colt is the third foal of Dame Giselle, who won four Group races and over $1.3million with a Group I placing in the ATC Coolmore Classic.

Closely related to Group I winner Ulanova, Dame Giselle has a Snitzel colt to follow and was then covered by Zoustar.

Her first two foals, fillies by Exceed and Excel and Snitzel, sold for $1million and $725,000, but neither have raced or trialled.
