MM Order of Entry 2YO and 3YO Updated

Tara Madgwick - Monday January 5

There were some big movers and shakers from last weekend’s racing as we head towards Magic Millions day on January 17 with Farnan gelding Ninja taking a stranglehold on the 3YO Guineas, while Sword of State colt Warwoven is favourite for the 2YO Classic.

Warwoven is now two for two and was super impressive for the Bjorn Baker stable, who had had the disappointment of star colt Paradoxium being ruled out due to injury.

Also out of play is Seeiaye, whose trial at Rosehill last week was uninspiring, while jumping into the picture were the Waterhouse Bott winners By Choice (Written By) and Knightsbridge (Farnan), who both won races at Randwick during the festive period.

Drop dead gorgous looking Hellbent colt Zip Lock also won the G3 BJ McLaclan Stakes beating the favourite  Tornado Valley with both colts set for a rematch at the Gold Coast and they come out of a race that has produced two of the past four winners in Storm Boy and Coolangatta.

Gimcrack Stakes winner Shiki was a flop when resuming from a spell to be fourth to Warwoven at Randwick on December 20 and will look to regroup in the Aquis Gold Pearl this Saturday at the Gold Coast… but can she?

Anyone that saw Ninja win last Saturday will be thinking they may as well give him the MM 3YO Guineas trophy right now, because if he does that again… circle the field from last and win by five… he won’t be beaten.

If you want to poke holes in it, he did beat nothing, but the way he beat nothing was still pretty dazzling and I’m hoping for his army of MyRacehorse owners that Ninja is the real deal!
