One to Watch – Gosford

Tara Madgwick - Sunday December 28

Opening the program at Gosford on Sunday was a talented Zoustar three year-old that bolted in for the Joe Pride stable carrying the colours of his breeder Bill Frost’s Pendant Equine.

Capture Me passed in shy of his $300,000 reserve at Inglis Easter.

Capture Me was passed in as a yearling when offered at Inglis Easter in the Widden Stud draft with Frost electing to retain the colt to race with his family.

An unplaced debut in a strong metro midweek maiden won by subsequent stakes-winner Grand Prairie back in July resulted in Capture Me being gelded and the decision has proven a good one.

Capture Me showed nice ability in two trials earlier this month and went out favourite for the 1100m maiden with Andrew Adkins to ride.

Capture Me dominated from the start and kicked right away over the final furlong winning by more than three lengths and running markedly quicker than the following maiden at the same distance.

Foaled and raised at Widden, Capture Me is the first living foal of stakes-winning I Am Invincible mare Steal My Kisses, who was also bred and raced by the Frost family.

Her second foal is a Farnan colt that was sold in the Widden draft at Magic Millions in 2025 fetching $650,000 to the bid of Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing/Kestrel Thoroughbreds/Kia Ora Stud/David Redvers.

A three-quarter sister to Group I winner Ulanova, Steal My Kisses remains at Widden, but is no longer in the ownership of the Frost family having been purchased by David Redvers Bloodstock for $550,000 ta the 2023 Inglis Chairman’s Sale.

Zoustar filly from Steal My Kisses born at Widden Stud this spring.

She produced a filly by Zoustar this spring and is back in foal to him again.
