The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Russian Revolution filly Lumbini has shown well above average potential in her first two trials most recently when winning at Canterbury for Tim Clark, who takes the race ride and has barrier one.

Lumbini was the highest priced yearling by Russian Revolution sold in 2025.

A $450,000 Magic Millions purchase from Newgate for Glentree Thoroughbreds/Badgers Bloodstock, she is a full sister to former smart filly Russian Conquest, who was second in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Bjorn Baker already has a couple of key MM 2YO contenders in Paradoxium and Masvingo and will look for a third with All Too Hard filly Modernist, who has drawn gate two with Rachel King to ride.

She also won a trial at the start of the month.

Modernist runs in the colours of her breeder Cressfield.

She was passed in and retained to race by Cressfield and is the second foal of a winning half-sister to Group I winner Onemorenomore.

The Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable have had Wild Ruler filly Face the Wild nominated and scratched on a few occasions, but with four trials under her belt, two in Victori and two in Queensland, she is going to be well educated for her debut.

She has drawn gate four with Luke Currie to ride.

Face the Wild is looking to become the first winner for Wild Ruler.

A $150,000 Magic Millions purchase from Telemon Thoroughbreds for  First Light Racing Pty Ltd/McEvoy Mitchell Racing/Belmont Bloodstock, Face the Wild is a half-sister to two winners from a fast metro winning daughter of Charge Forward.
