One to Watch – Scone

Tara Madgwick - Friday June 1
The Esplin family have had a lot of success racing the progeny of their former good producer Pay My Bail, who produced her sixth winner at Scone on Friday.

Animal Kingdom A half-sister to Group III winner White Moss and stakes-winner White Sage, three year-old Animal Kingdom (USA) filly Ivory Jane swept home with a big finish to take out the 1300 metre maiden by a length.

Prepared by Kris Lees, Ivory Jane was unplaced on a heavy track at her first run back from a spell and appreciated the better surface to show a good turn of foot and post her first win from four starts.

Pay My Bail died in 2017 and her last foal is a two year-old Reset filly called White Thyme that was sold at Inglis Easter by Tartan Fields for $180,000 and is trained by Henry Dwyer.

Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom is not returning to Arrowfield Stud this spring, but was here last year and covered 46 mares including White Sage.
