D’Argento Filly Wins $100,000 Inglis Xtra Bonus

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 5

Stakes-placed at two and fourth in the Group II ATC Percy Sykes Stakes to Tempted, it seems amazing that D’Argento filly Sequista was not a winner until Thursday, but she picked a good day to break the ice claiming a $100,000 Inglis Xtra bonus for her Gosford victory.

Trained by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou, Sequista was second up from a spell in the 1200m maiden and showed her class for Tyler Schiller to blast the opposition winning by more than five lengths.

A$100,000 Inlgis Classic purchase for her trainers from the Bowness Stud draft, Sequista has a win and three placings from seven starts with prizemoney topping $150,000 plus her Inglis Xtra $100,000 bonus.

Sequista was a $100,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Bred by Bowness Stud, Sequista is the second foal and second winner from I’m a Jewel, a winning I Am Invincible mare from the family of Group I winning sprinter Jetball.

Bowness sold a full brother to Sequista at Magic millions this year for $80,000 that was then re-offered at the NZB Ready to Run by Riversley Park where he made $130,000.

I’m a Jewel has foaled this spring producing a filly by D’Argento.

D'Argento has nine yearlings for MM 2026 and four for Inglis Classic.
