The catalogue for the 2026 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale will be finalised and announced in mid-January.

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch described the early support of Australia and New Zealand’s best breeders as vendors as “overwhelming”.

“It eventuated that we had a very nice group of horses for the sale in 2025, but the success of that sale and positive market sentiment around Inglis in general has meant the support of Easter 2026 has been incredible,” Hutch said.

“The sale has been ‘full’ since entries closed in September and the quality from every perspective – stallion power, female families, vendor profile etc – is extraordinarily strong.

“There are over 75 yearlings entered at the moment which are siblings to or progeny of G1 winners, which gives some illustration of the strength of the line-up – it’s staggering!

“It’s going to be a bigger catalogue than in 2025, which means more opportunities for buyers, which is exciting.

“The value on offer at a sale like this is often underestimated and it’s worth bearing in mind that, despite the strength of the sale in 2025, there were 104 yearlings that could have been bought for $200,000 or less.

“Inglis Easter is the best yearling sale in the Southern Hemisphere by just about every credible metric.

“You are more likely to find a Group 1 winner at Easter, a high-class 2YO at Easter, it’s got a proven track record as ‘The Best Of The Best’ and the 2026 renewal is going to be very much in keeping with that tradition.”
