Yulong purchased five colts from Inglis Classic at the start of the year and one of them was a half-brother to a filly called La Dorada, who had just won the Karaka Million and then went on Group I success later in the season.

Named Golden Pulse and sent to Mark Walker to train, the son of Tivaci made a winning debut at Geelong on Thursday.
The least fancied of four runners in the 1147m juvenile maiden, Golden Pulse proved much the best when powering clear for a two length win with Beau Mertens in the saddle.
A $160,000 Inglis Classic purchase from Waikato Stud for YLP Racing, Golden Pulse carries the Yulong colours and is the second winner from Group II winning Savabeel mare Gold Fever, a half-sister to Group II winner Gold Rush and SW Calaverite, the dam of Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas winner Golden Mile.

Group I ATC Australian Derby winner Major Beel is also in the family which has proven a prolific source of Black Type horses.
The family pops up once in upcoming sales with Emirates Park as agent for Merricks Station to offer an I Am Invincible half-brother to Golden Mile as Lot 137 at Magic Millions.
