First Winner for Captivant

Tara Madgwick - Sunday November 23

Kia Ora Stud’s promising young sire Captivant is off the mark with his first winner after Vantorix made a winning debut at Taree on Sunday beating older horses.

Trained by Jenny Graham, Vantorix was sent off as favourite for the 1005m maiden after winning a trial 10 days ago.

Despite being set the considerable task of taking on bigger and stronger rivals the talented gelding emerged triumphant with Ash Morgan steering him to a two and a half length win.

A $30,000 Inglis Classic purchase from Mullaglass Stud for his trainer, Vantorix is a half-brother to Group III ATC San Domenico stakes winner Raging Force being the third winner from stakes-placed Miss Loren.

Vantorix was a $30,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Mullaglass Stud will offer a yearling colt by Zousain from Miss Loren at Inglis Classic as Lot 199.

A Group I winning son of Capitalist, Captivant stands at a fee of $19,800 and has 11 entries for Inglis Classic this year.
