Brown, who won the first Group race in Sydney for the new season on Invincible Gem in the Missile Stakes on Saturday, was outed for four meetings which include the traditional start to the spring carnival on Saturday week.

His winning mount, Regimen, shifted in on Blake Shinn and Colosimo in the early stages of Wednesday's 3YO Handicap.

Shinn had to take evasive action after being checked which caused Tye Angland and Sebring Express to be impeded.

Regimen eventually hit the line two lengths clear of Sebring Express while Colosimo finished fifth.

Brown starts his suspension on Sunday and can return to racing a week later.

Apprentice Deanne Panya was also found guilty of careless riding in the same race for an incident which preceded Brown's indiscretion.

Racing NSW stewards determined her mount Lass Vegas shifted in and crowded Colosimo, who then checked Funoon ridden by Tommy Berry.

Funoon eventually finished last, one place ahead of Lass Vegas.

Panya was suspended from next Tuesday until August 24.
