Fresh from siring exciting 2YO colt Revengeance to win the $1million ATC Golden Gift last week in Sydney, Hellbent produced another promising juvenile winner at Doomben on Saturday in Zip Lock.
Trained by Chris and Corey Munce and ridden by Martin Harley, Zip Lock had the benefit of just one trial going into this 1200m contest first up and took it all in his stride.
He powered clear of the race favourite Itchintogo to win by a length and a half.
A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for Munce Racing/Arthur Hoyeau As Agent from the Yarraman Park draft, Zip Lock will be aimed towards the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January.

Corey Munce revealed the colt was a late entry for this race.
“He’s come to the races off just the one trial as we saw there weren’t many entries and nominations were extended so we put him in as a late entry,” he said.
“He has a lot of quality about him and can go on from here. He’s a very special type.”
Zip Lock is the third winner from three foals to race from Honolulu Lass, a winning half-sister by Hinchinbrook to Group III winner Debellatio and stakes-winner Devoirs from Group II winner Velasco.
Honolulu Lass passed away at the start of this year and her final foal is a yearling colt by Brave Smash (Jpn).
Hellbent has 21 entries for Magic Millions 2026.
