Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 5

Two trials at Rosehill on Wednesday morning featured juvenile winners by Russian Revolution and Snitzel, while we also got a first look at the $1.7million full brother to Group I ATC Flight Stakes winner Apocalyptic.

The first and quickest of the 900m heats was won by the Peter Snowden trained Russian Revolution colt Seeiaye, who was very professional at his second trial after a first up second to the $2.8million Snitzel colt The Next Episode last month.

Also keep an eye on the Waller trained pair of Hidrix (full brother to Apocalyptic) and Unhinged, the half-sister  by Snitzel to G1 winner Hinged. Neither were asked for much and the filly was slowly away, but they worked to the line well held together for fourth and fifth.

Seeiaye is bred for speed being from unraced I Am Invincible mare Blue Blazers, a sister to Champion Singapore 2YO and Group winning sire Super One.

The second heat was won by the Brad Widdup trained Snitzel colt Tenenbaum, who has now had two trial runs for two wins.

Tenenbaum was a $750,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Mulberry Racing from Arrowfield Stud and has a pedigree that suggests further will suit him even better given he is a full brother to Hong Kong Derby winner Cap Ferrat, who was also second in the Group I ATC Spring Champion Stakes.

His dam C’Est Beau La Vie was a stakes-winner at a mile and her dam Valkyrie Diva won the Group III MVRC Tesio Stakes at a mile and is a half-sister to triple Melbourne Cup winner and two time Australian Horse of the Year Makybe Diva.

Tenenbaum was one of four yearlings purchased from Inglis Easter by Mulberry Racing, who also signed for seven from Magic Millions.
