There were three barrier trials at Caulfield on October 2 and the winners of all three trials accepted for the race, although Wild Ruler filly Face the Wild is now a scratching leaving Profiteer and Sword of State as the only first season sires represented.

Snitzel filly Free Flying was one of those winners and the $750,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Coolmore will take her place for the Lindsay Park team jumping from gate three with Mick Dee to ride.

Free Flying comes with a pedigree to suggest precocity as a half-sister to former brilliant Group II winning juvenile Learning to Fly, who also won an Inglis Millennium.

She is the fourth living foal from Group III winner Ennis Hill, a sister to juvenile stakes-winners Acrobat and Lake Geneva, who was placed in both the Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond, from another slick Group winning juvenile in Hips Don’t Lie.

The other trial winner was Profiteer colt Commit, who score a nose win over Yes Yes Yes colt Sensa Nome with both youngsters engaged to run on Wednesday.

Commit was a $90,000 Magic Millions purchase from Lime Country Thoroughbreds for his co-trainer Mick Price, who also trained his sire Profiteer.

Commit was a $90,000 Magic Millions purchase.

Commit is the first foal from Lot’s Wife, a winning half-sister by I Am Invincible to Comrade Rosa, who is by Profiteer’s sire Capitalist.

A $250,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase from the Curraghmore draft, Torture has a big pedigree as a half-sister to Group I winner Ruthless Dame.

Too Darn Hot (GB) already has a new season 2YO SW on the board in Shiki and will be looking for another with the Ciaron Maher trained and Bennett Racing owned colt Tornado Valley.

Tornado Valley was a $300,000 Magic Million spurchase.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from Rosemont Stud, Tornado Valley has gate one and Mark Zahra to help him and is from Group I placed Fastnet Rock mare Oklahoma Girl, a half-sister to Group III winner Sure Knee.
