Yulong Purchase into Enriched - Inglis October (Early) Sale

Media Release - Wednesday October 8

Three individual shares in the G2-winning entire Enriched sold for a combined $440,000 in a highly successful Inglis Digital October (Early) Online Sale today.

Walnut Farm – an affiliate of powerhouse Yulong - capitalised on the rare opportunity to purchase each share – one 10% and two 5% - in the regally bred Enriched, who is by Champion sire I Am Invincible out of a half sister to Winx in Miss Atom Bomb.

The 10% share sold for a sale-high $215,000 while the 5% shares realised $115,000 and $110,000 respectively, valuing the horse at $2.2m.

Michael Freedman – who trains Enriched – was thrilled to welcome Yulong back into his stable.

“Funny enough they gave me a horse only last week to train and now they’ve come along and bought these shares today so it’s great to have that support of Mr Zhang and the Yulong team,’’ Freedman said.

“Enriched is by a Champion stallion from the family of the best mare that’s ever raced here so he’s certainly got the pedigree in the back pocket and he’s already a Group 2 winner.

“Hopefully now we can set him up for a future at stud down the track.’’

Yulong’s Sam Fairgray agreed.

“Ultimately that’s the long-term play, that Enriched will be on the Yulong stallion roster down the track but there’s plenty of options for him either way,’’ Fairgray said.

“His pedigree and record already are there for everyone to see and Michael Freedman is an outstanding trainer so we’re excited to see where Enriched might end up.’’

Enriched will be looking to join Baraqiel, Light Infantry Man, Private Harry, Benedetta, Port Lockroy and most recently Charm Stone, as subsequent G1 winners that have had shares offered through Inglis Digital.

Today’s second-top lot was the Newgate Farm-offered 3YO colt Tuscany (Zoustar), which sold to Red Bloodstock for $210,000.

“We’re really pleased with the price for him,’’ Newgate’s Henry Field said.

“He’d come to the end of his time as far as the Newgate Colts Partnership was concerned but he’s a quality horse and we wish his new owners all the best with him.’’

Other six figure results in the sale included Running By ($200,000) and Tetsu Belle ($110,000), to bring to 111 the number of six figure sales through Inglis Digital so far in 2025.

In total the October (Early) Online Sale grossed $2,596,000.

Entries are now open for the October (Late) Sale and will remain open until midnight next Wednesday, October 15.

The sale will be held from October 17-22.
