Hot Lots Day 1 - Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday October 7

The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale (October 7 – 9) kicks off tonight our time and for those interested in the number one  yearling sale in Europe we are taking a look at some of the yearlings tipped to top each day and they include a colt from an Aussie G1 winner.

All the leading sires have representation during the first session of 179 lots including the late great Wootton Bassett, who will have 10 yearlings offered at the sale tonight and the mighty Frankel, who had a Group I winner in Australia on Saturday in Sir Delius (IRE).

Frankel has seven on offer tonight and they include Lot 86 from Tweenhills, a colt from two time Australian Group I winner Con Te Partiro(USA).

Lot 86

The talented daughter of Scat Daddy raced in Australia in the Newgate colours and won the Group I ATC Coolmore Classic and Queen of the Turf Stakes for the Waterhouse Bott stable.

This Frankel colt is her third foal.

Another yearling to be offered tonight with an Aussie connection is Lot 54 from the Castlebridge Consignment, a St Marks’s Basilica colt from Australian bred Group III winning Exceed and Excel mare Believe ‘n’ Succeed.

Lot 54

Believe ‘n’ Succeed has done a great job at stud producing five winners from six runners headed by Epsom Derby winner Anthony Van Dyk and Bounding, who won a Group I sprint in New Zealand.
